That was beautiful. Just as good as the original, but quite different, even though the mood stayed largely the same. Would work well for end credits. Or a nice emotional scene in between.

Daww thank ya :D

Pretty good. I'd prefer it if some of the effects were a little more subtle, but it helps setting the voices further apart.

headphoamz responds:

Thanks for the feedback, glad you like it :D

I actually like the ending with the piano alone. And I also liked the drums. It has a very nice mysterious mood.

Carr77 responds:

Thanks, dude!

Good song. Thanks for putting me in the Christmas mood. I'm looking forward to hearing more songs from you.

bassfiddlejones responds:

Glad I could help! :D Thanks for taking the time, and hopefully I'll have some more stuff to put up soon!

Fantastic! I get why this is on the front page. In my review of the other song "Deus Vult" I said the metal and orchestral instruments should be more balanced out (and with metal instruments I meant the guitar(s) and drums as in the style metal, not the material). In this song the two styles complement each other much better. Neither overbears. Perfect balance. Great job the two of you.

bassfiddlejones responds:

Another review, thank you! I'm happy you liked this piece. We've got some pretty neat stuff coming up soon, too. :)

Great song. Very suspenseful. I like how pure it is. Nothing cheesy or pretentious. Music to be taken seriously.

bassfiddlejones responds:

That's exactly what I was going for. Thank you for the review!

Sounds promising. Even as a loop it's good.

Hikari responds:

Thanks, it was originally going be for a game.. for today. I got the news yesterday around 7pm. I stayed up all night just to meat the dead line. I was so upset when the guy was like, nope change this this and this, it sounds to chippy, you have an hour. I just said what ever, good bye. So some time this week I should have the full version.

Heard this song first in the animation Frozen Signal. I liked it very much, so I had to check it out. Are there vocals in this song? Sounds like vocals with effects. Or vocals and a synth routed through a vocoder. Or else a synth that sounds like a human voice. I can't make out the lyrics. Anyway interesting sound.

OcularNebula responds:

it's a saxophone soundfont with a bunch of reverb delay and phasing; at least, that's what I'm assuming you're referring to

Not bad. You can tell a lot of work went into this. I like the combination of orchestra and metal instruments, though the mix didn't go perfect. The orchestral instruments sound much better than the drums and guitars, and the orchestral instruments drown the metal. I'd say the song would be better if either the metal instruments were left out, or given a bigger part (les reverb, more treble and volume, more instruments like a bass also and more to play throughout the song). Anyway that's just my opinion. I like the song overall. The strings the brass and orchestral percussion sound incredible.

bassfiddlejones responds:

Thanks for the review! We actually didn't use any guitar until the very end after the ritarando. It was meant to be more of a supplement rather than a focus. I'm not sure what you mean when you say the "metal" instruments should be left out, but I'm assuming you're referring to guitar/bass, though I may be wrong (the only actual metal instruments used were the anvil and cymbals). I don't think we used any bass in this song, just that short part with guitar at the end. At any rate, I'm glad you liked it!

Good song. Only I'm not sure if it fits what you're going to use it for. You say it's for when the stage is cleared, because that's when the player can take a breather. I think the player would rather be excited about completing a stage, instead of just relaxed. The song should be victorious, maybe with a military marching theme like in Wolvenstein 3d. I think it would sound great for one of the stages. Not the first or one of the last, because they probably should be more intense, but one of the others. The relaxed mood creates some variety.

VaeVIKTUZ responds:

You're probably right. Most of the music I got planned are metalized remakes of old horror movie tracks and it wont really fit in anywhere else, but something too keep up the adrenaline might be a better fit, i could always use this for somethin else I suppose.

I'm a musician. Check out my band Botsing. I also make music for games, animations, short films, vlogs, etc and I write scripts, record sound effects, animate and voice act.
