Cool song man. Funky. Funny lyrics. You estimated right you would be on the front page. Good job.

Loops very well. Too bad it's so short, but it has quite some variation, so it doesn't get too annoying, even after an hour playing. Very epic sounds. It fits the game.

Great composition like always. I'd almost say it's too short, but there's so much going on it makes up for it. Though actually I wished the end part were longer. It ends rather suddenly. I like the epic part at 30 seconds to 63 and then the quiter piano part best.

Bosa responds:

Yes, thank you for the review. Someone decided it would be cool to zero vote me again. Jolly gee wiz! I love the audio portal!

I'm grateful for anything that makes a song interesting in this contest. And this song has so much of that. (Not that the other entries are bad, but there are so many it gets a little boring listening to all of them). I actually played it twice. I like the unique instruments. They're used perfectly. Good memorable melodies. Excotic mysterious atmosphere. Good structure. Nice length. The mixing and all is good also, so perfect song.

BlazingDragon responds:

Thanks Jovis! There were definitely some amazing entries in this contest. This one was definitely a step in a new direction for me compared to my usual work, and it was a lot of fun to make. I'll have to check out your submission!

Cool song. Very happy and robotlike. Perfectly fits the image. Also nice to hear something that's different from the other submissions. That voice like synth is very good.

frootza responds:

Hey Sour!

Dude, really happy that you reviewed one of my songs! I seriously love your work!

I'm glad that you appreciated the song and that I delivered the message properly to at least someone, that was my goal! Best of luck in GameJam!

That's quite a cool song. It stays a little in the background. I think the brass instruments could've played a more interesting melody. It's also quite short. With a variation and a good outro/ending, (and a better melody) this would have been one of my favourites. I like the atmosphere though. It has an epic fantasy quality to it. I can certainly see a dragon flying.

Great song. Fits the picture well. The moody guitars with reverb and all the filter sweeps give that blue space/underwater like feel. The synth basses and pads give a futuristic spacey feel. It's a very ambient track. That suits the fact the artwork is a landscape like image. I like it.

alternativesolution responds:

"Moody" is somewhat...perfect, when describing those guitars. Thank you for your review :D

I'd call this cinematic. Gives you that war movie feel. I like the... everything. The choir sound very realistic. I was just telling several people how difficult that is. I like the percussion too. It has a nice Arabic vibe to it. Good luck in the contest.

Emid responds:

Thank you very much. I am really honoured by your comment. Yours are awesome as well. Good luck to you too!

Pretty cool. Very different from the other contestants I've hear so far. I could use the variation. I agree with alternatetiveresolution. All sounds top notch. Would be nice if you got a place on the album yes. Especially because it would be more varied. Good luck.

Warhector responds:

Yeah , thanks man ! You probably already know ;)
Cheers!

It's an okay song. At least it's very interesting. It grows on you after a while, because it has something but it's a bit unsubstantial, and never takes you where you want it to take you. I call it catchy. It's hard to place. Certainly not scary. I can't grasp what your intentions are with this. The bells sound quite nice, and the chords have a nice ambient feel. The chords are too dissonant though. It's hard to tell what direction the song takes. If I can give you a tip it would be; keep the melody, but think about your chord progression. Make it a little more straightforward and easy to grasp. Kill (or lower in volume) some of the more dissonant tones so you know what chord is supposed to be what to give the song more substance and sense of direction. If I don't understand the song properly I can't review it right, but it's your job as a composer to make me understand the song when I hear it. I hope this review was still somewhat helpful to you. R4R. Didn't mean to be harsh.

eatmeatleet responds:

Yeah, thanks a lot. It is very useful. Progressions are weakest link i this song. I wanted to make it somewhat special but kinda didn't complete it too well. About the direction.. :) I was going for somewhat different feel but I was asked to change it up so thats why it feels somewhat lacking of direction. Thanks a lot for being honest though

I'm a musician. Check out my band Botsing. I also make music for games, animations, short films, vlogs, etc and I write scripts, record sound effects, animate and voice act.
