Not bad. Sounds very jazzy. I think it could've used a more human touch. Some more variation in the velocity levels. The drums sound particularly good.

YouriX responds:

Yeah i was afraid that i might use to much human elements xD
Glad you liked it anyways!

This song fits the artwork it was inspired by. Both are pleasant and abstract.

MattBat27 responds:

I'd have to agree, thank you!

Very energetic and powerful. I like the squeaking guitars. Looks like it will become a good remake. I hope you won't get in trouble for copyright stuff, like what happened to Chrono Resurrection. Btw, what happened to your Nightmare on Elmstreet project?

VaeVIKTUZ responds:

I gave up on trying to figure out programming with the unreal engine, still have the models and textures so I may finish that Nightmare on Elmstreet beat em up when I get better with unity, I'm making way faster progress with Unity than Unreal for sure, there are alot more tutorials to help with the problems I run into.

For this game I'm not to worried about copyright infringement, it should be protected as a parody, and I wouldn't dream of trying to sell it, Still even if I get a C&D I'm gonna finish it anyways, but I doubt that would happen, there may even be a loop hole since Konami released it as Ultra games, to bypass a limitation developers had on the NES, They closed down Ultra games when the SNES came out, Kojima owns the name but disowned the NES version, plus Kojima seems smart enough to know fan works only help sales.. anyways I may never even release it to the public when i finish it, Tho a torrent of it might end up somewhere if I decide to share it with friends.
Still not sure how i want to handle cut scenes, probably go graphic novel style with it. But I'm not that great with drawing action poses, anyways, sorry for the essay, lol thanks for the review :)

Very atmospheric. I don't know the original song, but I like this. It sounds more like something from DOOM than Metal Gear. I like that you use life guitars. The choir and the effects add some nice layers to it. Glad you're back.

VaeVIKTUZ responds:

Thanks, and if you get the time you really should check out the original (heres a link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3oX25WVCCU ), One of the Nintendo's greatest short loops as far as I am concerned, I still wanna do a little more with the drums, by the time I get the title screen finalized, maybe add a short glam lead on guitar but thats probably all i'll change.

Thanks again! Sounds very beautiful. Very mysterious. I know how difficult it is to make a 5/4 song, but when you succeed it makes the song alt the more Original, and I like the sound of it.

Knoxius responds:

well I screwed up the ending with a rather anticlimatic and nonsensical series of notes, so success can be measured about as far as the 2:00 minute marker, at which point i can only assume that I was overwhelmed.

this was a very unfamiliar signature to me at the time, and though I feel i may have partially cheated my way through by creating a sort-of 4/4 polyrhythm to guide the rest, i appreciate the positive reaction! thanks buddy, and merry christmas 2-ish years ago!

Nice improvisation. I like the trashines of it. The "mistakes" don't sound like exact mistakes to me. There are some oddities in the song, but they make it sound alive. I think this song would be even better if recorded at a live concert, with reverb of a crowded club and the audience cheering every time a section has ended and a new one starts. I can imagine that. Keep at it.

frootza responds:

Thanks SJ, most definitely will! Awesome visualization! When we take to the stage I'll see if we can record something live too. And that is true, a lot of the grittyness you are hearing is intentional!

That's quite haunting tune. I like how well the electronic instruments fit the acoustic ones.

NikeTheSword responds:

Glad you dig it! Thanks for the awesome score!

Great sound. Very full and dynamic. I should work on getting a sound like that.

djahmusic responds:

Thank you :)

Very well played. A rich full sound. You put quite some emotion into it. I wish I could play the piano like that.

Musicious responds:

Many thanks :) I did my best.

The string sounds good. Great composition. The notes sound almost random, but never wrong, so I suppose it's just complex and unpredictable. It does indeed remind me of a frozen river. Very mysterious. I like how the song develops and more instruments join in. The ending sounded a bit abrupt to me. Perhaps after the bombastic part you could do a quieter part without percussion, that's a repetition of the main melody to give it more closure. Great collab. You bring out the best of each other.

I'm a musician. Check out my band Botsing. I also make music for games, animations, short films, vlogs, etc and I write scripts, record sound effects, animate and voice act.
