Not bad. You can tell a lot of work went into this. I like the combination of orchestra and metal instruments, though the mix didn't go perfect. The orchestral instruments sound much better than the drums and guitars, and the orchestral instruments drown the metal. I'd say the song would be better if either the metal instruments were left out, or given a bigger part (les reverb, more treble and volume, more instruments like a bass also and more to play throughout the song). Anyway that's just my opinion. I like the song overall. The strings the brass and orchestral percussion sound incredible.

Thanks for the review! We actually didn't use any guitar until the very end after the ritarando. It was meant to be more of a supplement rather than a focus. I'm not sure what you mean when you say the "metal" instruments should be left out, but I'm assuming you're referring to guitar/bass, though I may be wrong (the only actual metal instruments used were the anvil and cymbals). I don't think we used any bass in this song, just that short part with guitar at the end. At any rate, I'm glad you liked it!

Good song as usual. I like the industrial mood. The end is very raw indeed. nice in a way, since building towards a climax, though you may refine it a bit. Is there a chorus or detune effect on the base drum? If so I would turn it down a bit, because the base drum loses a bit in definition near the end (if you know what I mean). The rest of the song sounds good anyway.

Good song. Only I'm not sure if it fits what you're going to use it for. You say it's for when the stage is cleared, because that's when the player can take a breather. I think the player would rather be excited about completing a stage, instead of just relaxed. The song should be victorious, maybe with a military marching theme like in Wolvenstein 3d. I think it would sound great for one of the stages. Not the first or one of the last, because they probably should be more intense, but one of the others. The relaxed mood creates some variety.

You're probably right. Most of the music I got planned are metalized remakes of old horror movie tracks and it wont really fit in anywhere else, but something too keep up the adrenaline might be a better fit, i could always use this for somethin else I suppose.

Nice tune. I like the percussion as well. Nice to hear some live instruments here on newgrounds.

Musicious responds:

Thank you very much! Live instruments are rarely here. Alas!

Pretty good. Would work for anything.

There can never be enough green hill zone remixes. This one is pretty good compared to most. I particularly like the strings.

Sounds great. Funky. I love Earthbound.

You play very beautifully. The recording quality was also alright.

Musicious responds:

I appreciate your comment. :)

Sorry to hear about your grandad. I'm sure he would have loved this. I did anyway. Good luck with the game project.

Very nice. Perfect legato. How did you get it to sound like that?

JosephAS1 responds:

Thanks!
