I like your work. Keep it up!

SOVIETsounds responds:

thanks alot man, and thanks for scouting us! We should have some new stuff ready to release soon.

Good beginning. Sounds like it will become great. I've been mixing all day, and it didn't go very well, so my ears are a bit stunned to give good comments. The beginning sounds better mixed than nearer to the end. Somehow you don't maintain the full sound, and you don't quite achieve the climax I was hoping for. Since this is an in progress song you may still get there, and you probably will. Just needs some more tweaks. Some more automation of the parameters to make it more lively and get more swells and fade outs. Give the orchestra hits more impact, at the and. It will become epic.

BrokenDeck responds:

Josh and I are discussing the possibility of re-doing this song from scratch.

Nice light song. Very tranquil.

Satyre responds:

Thanks for the rating and comment :)

That's a nice song. Well composed. I think some instruments could've used more distortion to give a more interesting sound. Especially the base guitar. The Base drum could've been heavier. The snare a bit deeper and longer. The orchestra hits sound quite good very old-skool/retro. I like the breaks.

TheyCallMeCaudex responds:

Thanks! I see your point, I just don't want it to be too distracting (it's for a video game). :)

Great song. Now I can't wait for the game.

headphoamz responds:

Ha! Thanks man, I will be sure to let you know when it hits. <3

Just great. I always like your voice. The song is well written too. It's just how music's supposed to be.

headphoamz responds:

Well shoot, I like to think so. Many thanks :)

Speaking about JRPGs, it reminds me most of Secret of Mana, because of the chromatic percussion and the mystic mood. The synth lead seems a little out of place amongst all of those orchestral instruments I think. Not that it sounds bad.

Neon-Bard responds:

There's a game I haven't played in a long, long time. I actually can't even remember the soundtrack to Secret Mana, so perhaps I should go back and check it out again!

I can see what you mean about the synth I used, it is a bit of a misfit in some aspects. but in others I think it shines quite nicely. Thanks for the review SourJovis! :)

Interesting sound. I like the song overall. The piano chords sound nice, and the synth loop. Very mysterious. The ending is abrupt and the mixing can be better, but you'll learn than it time. The drums are also interesting and out of the ordinary. Good job.

Minimalistic, but/and very good. I think it could be used as background music for a lot of things. Too listen to on its own it's a little plain, but not unpleasant.

Those synth sounds are really great. I like the one from the note the song ends on best. It's like it goes through your chest.

AliceMako responds:

Thanks for listening.

I'm a musician. Check out my band Botsing. I also make music for games, animations, short films, vlogs, etc and I write scripts, record sound effects, animate and voice act.
